Interested in joining the Fraternal Order of Police?  Below you will find information about our different types of membership and the application forms.  Please print out the form, fill it out, and return it to the Austin Lodge at PO Box 685151, Austin, Texas, 78768-5151.

Active Membership Shall be comprised of any regularly appointed or elected and full-time employed law enforcement officer of the United States, any state or political subdivision thereof, or any agency may be eligible for membership in the Fraternal Order of Police, subject to the provisions of this Constitution.

Associate Membership: Shall be comprised of employees of law enforcement related agencies who are not police officers and who are not considered full time. (Legal & Disability Plan Eligible)

Auxiliary Membership: Shall be comprised of individuals who support the goals of the organization and law enforcement in general. (Local Lodge dues only) 

Honorary membership (Retired): Shall be comprised of individuals recognized by the State Lodge or Austin Lodge 49 for exceptional service or contribution to the State or political subdivision, the law enforcement community or the Fraternal Order of Police. (Dues Waived by Order of the Lodge)

No person shall be denied membership on account of race, religion, color, creed, sex, age, or national origin.
